This is a set of two oversized, carved wood penguins, standing on rectangular bases. Because of their weight, we have always used them as bookends. However, they would make equally exquisite figurines by themselves. They are intricately carved, with long, pointed beaks, and piercing eyes. The detail carries down to their feet, where you can see the individual details. The set is in excellent condition with no chips, breaks or repairs. We have had them since the 1970s, when we purchased them in an antiques shop on the East coast. They are absolutely wonderful! They are also quite heavy but we are splitting the shipping with you, so don't hesitate to add them to your collection.
